Let me take you around charming Amboise with its royal château and the Clos Lucé, home of Leonardo da Vinci at the end of his fascinating life. I would also love to take you to the market on a Friday or Sunday morning to sample local produce and regional specialties. One of my favorite things is to take visitors to nearby vineyards for wine tastings. Another feature of the area that is well worth exploring is its wealth of troglodyte dwellings.
A retired Franco-American journalist, I have lived in France since 1993 and settled in Amboise in 2019 after a career with the French news agency Agence France-Presse, working in Paris, Rome and Hong Kong. I now freelance for the local newspaper, La Nouvelle République.
